Gia Lai province promotes cooperation with some provinces of the Czech Republic

Accepting the invitation of the governor of Moravskoslezsko province, Czech Republic, authorized by Prime Minister and supported by Vietnam Embassy in Czech Republic, the delegation of Gia Lai province with 16 members, leaded by Mr. Vo Ngoc Thanh - Chairman of provincial People's Committee, visited the Czech Republic from March 24, 2017 to April 2, 2017.

Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice Rector of Ton Duc Thang University, member of the Gia Lai province’s delegation and Mr. Tran Hiep Thuong, Trade counselor of Vietnam Embassy in Czech Republic, accompanied the delegation throughout time in Czech Republic. They assisted to resemble the schedule which was well – prepared by European Cooporation Center and BATA Center. On March 27-28, in Prague, the delegation worked with the Czech Chamber of Commerce, 5 enterprises in the field of rubber and wood processing in the Czech Republic, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and Confederation of Industry and Transportation of the Czech Republic. Before the delegation left Prague to Ostrava and Zlín, they had a fine visit with Ambassador Truong Manh Son and some leaders of Vietnam Embassy in Czech Republic. The delegation also met with the leaders of the Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic.

March 29-30, 2017 in Ostrava city, the capital of Moravskoslezsko Province, the delegation visited University of Ostrava, Technical University of Ostrava, visited the LANEX cable factory - the leading enterprise in this field in Europe, joined in the business forum of Moravskoslezsko - Gia Lai provinces and other activities. At the meeting with the governor of Moravskoslezsko, Mr. Vo Ngoc Thanh - Chairman of provincial People's Committee, emphasized the desire to cooperate with Moravskoslezsko, he also expressed his hope that Czech businesses will come to Vietnam to cooperate in areas of mutual interest, particularly in the fields of economics and trade, education, health and culture. The Governor of Moravskoslezsko Province appreciated opportunities in Vietnam in general and Gia Lai in particular for Czech businesses. On the same day, representatives of the two provinces signed the protocol, identifying the good and lasting relationship between Gia Lai and Moravskoslezsko.

After visiting and working with Moravskoslezsko province, the Gia Lai province's delegation arrived in Zlín on March 30. During the time here, the government and people of Zlín left a deep impression on the delegation of Gia Lai when hung the Vietnamese flag on March 30-31, 2017 at the column of Building 21 - Headquarters Government of Zlín. Prof. Petr Saha - Rector of Tomas Bata University welcomed the delegation very warmly and helped the delegation in visiting the Continental Group and the Zlín province.

With a rich schedule, the interest of businesses, the hospitality of the leaders of two provinces Moravskoslezsko - Zlin provinces, Vietnam embassy in the Czech Republic for the delegation of Gia Lai, has left a good impression on both guests and hostes.

During the working time, the delegation spent time visiting Prague, Wien, the movie city - Karlovy Vary, Dresden ... to learn more about tourism, smokeless technology in Czech Republic, Germany and Austria. The trip not only has left all members of the delegation the classical beauty of Eastern Europe countries but also be a motivation for Gia Lai province and the enterprises to have orientation for developing collaborative programs.

On 2/4/2017, the delegation left Prague capital  and returned Vietnam, finished the trip in the Czech Republic for nearly 10 days, opened many steps in cooperation not only between Gia Lai province with some provinces of The Czech Republic but also between the two countries Vietnam and the Czech Republic.
