On 13th April 2022, Tomas Bata University (UTB) – Czech Republic has hosted the ceremony for their 20th Inaugural Anniversary. The ceremony was formally organized with 400 guests include leaders from Czech universities, Czech Academy of Sciences, companies cooperating with the University, government agencies, along with students and lecturers of the University.
On this anniversary day, the Principal of UTB has bestowed 8 awards on outstanding individuals, who have great contributions to the development of the University in 8 aspects: Education – New knowledge creation – International cooperation – Cooperation with industry – Ethics and Law – Sport – Cooperation with local governments – University development.
Dr. Phan Dao – Director of European Cooperation Center, and Director of Bata Center from Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) is one the many individuals bestowed with awards from UTB. Dr. Phan Dao was awarded for his contribution to the aspect of “International cooperation” with the achievement “for important and meaningful contributions to the development in international cooperation of the University for the past 20 years”.
As a Director of European Cooperation Center and a Director of Bata Center at TDTU, Dr. Phan Dao has had major contributions in nurturing the cooperation relationship between TDTU and UTB and other universities in the Czech Republic.
UTB is also a founding member of the University Consortium International (UCI).
