DOCTORAL STUDENTS OF THE DOCTORAL SANDWICH PROGRAM SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDED THE DOCTORAL DISSERTATIONS

Currently, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, some doctoral students cannot go to the Czech Republic to defend their doctoral dissertations. To support these students to complete their studies, the European Cooperation Center (ECC) suggested to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science - Technical University of Ostrava to facilitate the defense of their doctoral dissertations via online platforms.

On 02.09.2021, ECC and FEI cooperated to organize the final defense for 02 doctoral students majoring in Communication Technology of the doctoral sandwich program. One of them had the defense directly at the Technical University of Ostrava, while the other had his defense via an online platform.

The Board for the Defense of Ph.D. includes:

Chairman of the board: Prof. Radek Martinek

Vice-chairman of the board: Assoc. Prof. Jan Zídek

Members of the board: Prof. Jirí Misurec

                                        Prof. Ivan Zelinka

                                        Assoc. Prof. Jan Nedoma

Assoc. Prof. Jaroslav Zdralek           – Opponent

Assoc. Prof. Ján Papaj                     – Opponent

Assoc. Prof. Jaroslav Sklenár           –  Opponent

Regarding Ton Duc Thang University, Dr. Phan Dao – Director of ECC attended directly at VSB-TUO; Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau – Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Dr. Tran Thanh Phuong – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering attended online.
