On 28.1.2021, Dr. Phan Dao – Director of the European Cooperation Center (ECC) visited and worked with Prof. V. Snasel – Rector of VSB TU University of Ostrava, who has also been a supervisor of many doctoral students of the doctoral sandwich program since 2013.
Two parties exchanged and evaluated the result of the cooperation between Ton Duc Thang University and the VSB TU Ostrava for the 2+2 joint bachelor study program, sandwich doctoral program, and Program Delta 2 according to the protocol between the Ministry of Science and Technology, Viet Nam, and the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, as well as many other cooperation programs between VSB TU Ostrava and other universities in Viet Nam.
With the already achieved results, two parties agreed to continuously implement the admission of the sandwich doctoral program for available majors such as Computer Sciences; Communication Technology; Computational and Applied Mathematics; Electrical Power Engineering; Electronics; Technical Cybernetics and Fire Protection Engineering and Industrial Safety; also expand to many other majors like Cybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, Applied Physics, Bioinformatics & Computational Biology and Computer Science…; and to establish an 2+2 Bachelor’s dual degree program for the Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering,…
Dr. Phan Dao also suggested to prof. Snasel, Rector of VSB TU Ostrava to provide many scholarships for students, doctoral students, and to invest in the financial budget for Bata Center.
The meeting also had the attendance of prof. Krejci – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. According to the direction of the rector, prof. Krejci would prepare an agreement for the association 2+2 training program, to sign this agreement in the academic year 2020/2021 and to organize the admission in the academic year 2021/2022.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Phan Dao gifted a Lunar New Year present of Ton Duc Thang University to prof. Snasel and wished him to have the best moments with Vietnamese students at the VSB TU Ostrava.
