Following the visit of the leaders of Bac Kan Province in December 2019 in the Czech Republic, on the first return trip to Vietnam to work with Ton Duc Thang University of Prof. V. Snasel, Rector of VSB Technical University of Ostrava, together with Dr. Phan Dao, Director of the European Cooperation Center (ECC), and Czech, Vietnamese businesses visited and worked with the People's Committee of Bac Kan Province on the afternoon of May 31, 2022.
Welcoming the delegation, on the side of Bac Kan Province are Ms. Do Thi Minh Hoa, Vice President of the Bac Kan Provincial People’s Committee, and leaders from other provincial departments.
The parties specifically discussed cooperation programs in the fields of education, human resource training, trade promotion, tourism, science and technology research investment.
VSB Technical University of Ostrava is one of the four biggest public universities in the Czech Republic. In addition to technical majors, Technical University of Ostrava also provides training in ecotourism, waste treatment, water environment and economics, etc. Prof. V. Snasel is committed to supporting and promoting bilateral and multilateral cooperation programs with Bac Kan Province.
On behalf of ECC, the unit assigned by TDTU to promote trade, tourism, and investment cooperation with localities, Dr. Phan Dao informed about TDTU's cooperation programs with Binh Dinh, Binh Thuan, Gia Lai, Lam Dong provinces; accordingly, ECC will put effort into supporting and promoting the cooperation between Bac Kan Province and Technical University of Ostrava in the above-mentioned fields.
Ms. Do Thi Minh Hoa, Vice President of Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee expressed that, through the meeting with VSB Technical University of Ostrava, ECC would have an effective and sustainable cooperation, strengthen the solidarity and cooperation relationship between Bac Kan Province and the Czech Republic. Especially in recent years, Bac Kan Province has exported arrowroot vermicelli products to the Czech Republic.
At the meeting, leaders of other provincial departments informed the Delegation about general data on human resources, career orientation, and wished to cooperate and train with VSB Technical University of Ostrava, TDTU in the fields that are considered as the strength of the province such as planning, tourism, processing agricultural and forestry products. The parties commit to soon establish their working groups for this cooperation program.
