From September 18 to September 24, the ECC welcomed the delegation from the Faculty of Management and Economics, Tomas Bata University and the Institute of Economics - Slovakia Academy of Sciences to give lectures to Management and Economics and Finance doctoral students of Sandwich program, attend ICFE 2017 and the 20th anniversary of TDTU.
The delegation had a busy working week, with many activities. The ECC conducts lectures for doctoral students in courses 1, 2 and 3. The students from courses 1 and 2 have taken the final exam of specialized subjects. The professors appreciated the careful preparation of the students attending the lessons at TDTU.
On the morning of September 21, the delegation attended the opening ceremony of the ICFE 2017, which both universities have co-operated to build this program from 2014. And after that, the delegation attended the opening ceremony of the third Czech Education Fair, co-organized by the ECC, Bata Center and the INCRETI with the presence of eight universities from Czech and Germany.
On the afternoon of September 21, Prof. Le Vinh Danh welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the strategic cooperation between two universities. The rectors of two universities have signed a agreement on the Doctoral degree programe on part time (sandwich) form for the fields of Polymer Engineering, Food Technology, Physics and Materials Engineering.
Previously, Prof. Petr Saha spent time visiting the leading shoes manufacturing company in Ho Chi Minh City.
On the morning of 22 September, Prof. Petr Saha and ECC ‘s Director met with deans of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Applied Sciences; open up new cooperation. From the new academic year 2018/2019, there will be doctoral program in part time (sandwich) form in Fine arts and Polymer Engineering.
In the afternoon of September 22, Prof. Petr Saha and Dr. Phan Dao visited and worked with the leaders of Vietnam Rubber Group and General Director of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group about export Vietnam rubber to Czech market and co-production of tires with Czech enterprises.
Dean of Faculty of Management and Economics and Director of ECC, Dr. Phan Dao worked with the Faculty of Business Administration, Accounting, Finance & Banking about research cooperation. The delegation also worked with Dr. Ngo Thi Thanh Van, Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages to open English courses for PhD students.
The culmination of the delegation's visit and work is to attend the opening ceremony of TDTU 's 20th Anniversary on the morning of 23 September. Prof. Petr Saha, on behalf of the foreign universities to attend and give the speech to nearly 1500 guests and students of TDTU. Professor has evaluated the outstanding success of TDTU in the past 20 years. In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation attended the opening ceremony of the doctoral sandwich program. And Prof. Petr Saha attended the Roundtable conference of Foreign University ‘s Rectors who attended the 20th anniversary of TDTU.
At the end of the visit and work at TDTU, the delegation of Tomas Bata University and the Institute of Economics - Slovak Academy of Sciences appreciated and thanked the warmly welcomed and thoughtful of the Rector, the university board and the ECC, Bata Center, and expressed confidence in the extensive cooperation between the two universities, related units are increasingly sucessful.
