From April 8, 2018 to April 14, 2018, European Cooperation Center - Ton Duc Thang University welcomed and worked with Prof. Vaclav Snasel, Rector of Technical University of Ostrava (VSB - TU Ostrava). Dr. Phan Dao and professor met and talked with Mr. D. Jarkulisch, Head of Economic and Commercial Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi.
The two sides have agreed together with Vietnamese partners to prepare a number of cooperation projects in the field of research and technology, the cooperation program between the two governments of Vietnam - Czech.
On the afternoon of April 9th, at the meeting with Mr. Pham Quang Hung, Director of International Cooperation, Ministry of Education and Training, Prof. V. Snasel informed Mr. Hung about the results of the cooperation between VSB - TU Ostrava with universities in Vietnam. Mr. Hung appreciated the cooperation between VSB - TU Ostrava and Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and expressed his wish to cooperate with other Vietnamese universities. Prof. V. Snasel suggested that the International Cooperation Department could create conditions for VSB - TU Ostrava to open its representative office in Vietnam soon, thus promoting the cooperation in training and scientific research between the University with Vietnamese universities.
On 4 April, Prof. V. Snasel and Dr. Phan Dao visited the University of Danang. At the meeting with Prof. Tran Van Nam, President of the University of Da Nang, agreed to quickly implement cooperation programs between the two universities, especially cooperation in the field of scientific and technological research. While visiting and working at Da Nang University, professor has given a lecture on Industry 4.0 for a large number of lecturers, doctoral students and students of the University of Science and Technology - University of Danang.
From April 11th to 14th, 2018, professor instructed and lectured his doctoral students at TDTU. He along with Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice-President of TDTU and Dr. Phan Dao, Director of ECC, spent time and talked with students and parents of 2 + 2 training courses on students ’s visas to study abroad in Czech in the second stage under the joint training program between TDTU and VSB - TU Ostrava.
On the afternoon of April 13th, the professor attended the Ministry of Industry and Trade Embassy of the Czech Republic and opened the exhibition ”BATA - ZLIN - CZECHOSLOVAKIA, Masaryk's democracy - Bata's prosperity” at TDTU on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Czechoslovak Republic (1918-2018). During his time at TDTU, the professor had an open and honest exchange with the Editorial Board of Advanced Technology and Computing (JAEC), lead of Faculty of Information Technology and lecturers, supervisors of the doctoral students who are studying the sandwich training program.
At the meeting with Prof. Le Vinh Danh, President of TDTU, the two sides agreed to improve the quality and expand the program of training sandwich program; to assist students in 2 + 2 program to have visa to the Czech Republic; The cooperation between TDTU, VSB TU Ostrava and the University of Hasselt, Belgium is for research and to associate training programs for bachelors and masters in the three universities. On the evening of April 14, Prof. V. Snasel came back the Czech Republic and completed the successful transfer of his work in Vietnam.
