Doctoral student Nguyen Nhat Tan & Phu Tran Tin successfully defended their Ph.D theses in VSB Technical University Of Ostrava, Czech Republic

On May 27th, 2019, Doctoral students Nguyen Nhat Tan, a lecturer at the Faculty of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and Phu Tran Tin, a lecturer at the Faculty of Electronics Technology, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, successfully defended their Ph.D theses before the National Defense Council, VSB TU Ostrava, Czech Republic. Ph.D Nguyen Nhat Tan and Phu Tran Tin, are doctoral students of the 2nd course (2014/2015) and 3rd course (2015/2016) of the Doctorate degree of the sandwich program between TDTU and VSB TU Ostrava, respectively.

So far, the European Cooperation Center (ECC) has enrolled 6 courses with over 100 students, studying in 21 majors at 4 leading universities in Czech Republic (VSB TU Ostrava, Tomas Bata University in Zlín and University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague), which are in the TOP 800 according to THE, the best universities in the world. Especially, University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague, has recently been ranked among the TOP 400 best universities in the world according to QS World University Ranking.

The quality management department of the Ministry of Education and Training of Viet Nam recognizes the doctorate degree, granted by these 4 mentioned universities.

Within 6 years (11/2013) implementing this program, there have been 10 doctoral students that successfully defended their Ph.D theses. Hence, it can be affirmed that sandwich program between TDTU and Czech universities has brought good results, contributing to provide high-quality human resources for the school and society, a prerequisite for greater cooperations in the future.

Immediately after the successfully defended Ph.D thesis, Ph.D Nguyen Nhat Tan and Phu Tran Tin were awarded the Doctorate degree from the leader of Faculty, VSB TU Ostrava thanks to the request of ECC, because of working times, they could not attend the graduation ceremony of doctorate of sandwich held in November.

ECC would like to send our sincere congratulations to both new doctors on their efforts. We also had discussed and worked with leaders of relevant faculty / VSB TU Ostrava to accept them as researchers for future research projects.
