On the occasion of the visit of the Minister of the Environment of the Czech Republic to Vietnam from November 20 to November 22, 2019; in order to create opportunities for contact and exchange between Czech and Vietnamese enterprises; The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam, the Federation of Czech Industry, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam and Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) jointly organized the Czech-Vietnam Business Forum (Czech- Vietnamese Business Forum).
The forum is an opportunity for Vietnamese and Czech businesses to meet, expand customer networks, seek opportunities for trade and investment cooperation; especially in the context of the Vietnam - EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) was signed and came into effect from 2020.
Accordingly, November 21, 2019; Mr. Richard Brabec, Minister of Environment of the Czech Republic, paid an official visit to Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Accompanying the Minister were representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federation of Industry, Universities, and Businesses of the Czech Republic.
The visit aims to evaluate the effectiveness of TDTU's cooperation programs and TDTU's friendly businesses and localities with Czech universities and businesses over the past time; At the same time, promoting new cooperation programs in the coming time.
On this occasion, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam, the Federation of Czech Industry, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam (VCCI) together with TDTU co-organized the Czech-Vietnamese Business Forum (Czech-Vietnamese). Business Forum).
30 Czech Republic enterprises and 60 Vietnamese enterprises participated in the Forum with the aim of expanding the customer network, discussing cooperation, trade, and investment promotion.
In addition to businesses, a number of universities and research institutes of the Czech Republic also participated in the Forum to seek opportunities for cooperation with TDTU and Vietnamese universities/research institutes.
