On April 20, 2017, after the visit of the Trade Counselor of the Czech Republic Embassy in Vietnam, Ton Duc Thang University was again honored to welcome Mr. Vítězslav Grepl – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Vietnam.
Welcoming H.E. Vítězslav Grepl are Prof. Le Vinh Danh - Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thoi Trung - Vice Rector, Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Vice Rector, Dr. Phan Dao - Director of the European Cooperation Center, the Bata Center and some staffs of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
At the meeting, the two sides had a discussion about cooperative issues between the Czech Republic and Vietnam, including cooperative issues in training and research between the universities of the two countries. Both sides also discussed the opportunities, potentials and barriers in developing cooperation, and emphasized the importance of promoting multifaceted cooperation among Vietnamese localities with the localities of the Czech Republic.
Also at the meeting, Prof. Le Vinh Danh mentioned some difficulties in getting visas for Vietnamese students to study and research in the Czech Republic. Answered Prof. Le Vinh Danh, the Ambassador promised to create favorable conditions for students and post-graduate students in training programs between Vietnamese universities and the Czech Republic’s universities..
Ton Duc Thang University is one of the leading partners in Vietnam of the Czech Republic universities. In recent years, TDTU has always paid much attention to the expansion of training and research cooperation with Czech universities, such as Technical University of Ostrava, Tomas Bata University, University of Chemistry and Technology Prague, University of Economics Prague, Czech Technical University in Prague... and has achieved great success.
