Masaryk University is one of the top 5 universities in the Czech Republic and is in the TOP 500 - TOP 700 of the best universities in the world according to THE 2017.
Based on Memorandum of cooperation between Ton Duc Thang University and Masaryk University signed in April 2017 and through studying the training programs of the two universities; Dr. Phan Dao, Director of the European Cooperation Center (ECC) and Bata Center has worked with the Faculty of Sports Studies (Masaryk University) to collaborate on the sandwich training program in the sports sectors and the programs for bachelor and master degree for sport management.
From Sept 19th 2017 to Sept 23rd 2017, Assoc. Prof. Mgr. Jiří Nykodým, Ph.D. Dean and Assoc. Prof. Mgr. Martin Zvonař, Ph.D, Vice-dean for research and development – Faculty of Sports Studies, Masaryk University, visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University and attended the 20th Anniversary of the University. The European Cooperation Center, the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Ton Duc Thang University has discussed specificly about the issues for cooperation.
On Sept 23rd 2017, the representatives of the two universities signed the agreement on implementation of the doctoral study program on the "Kinathropology" of science with the presence of Mr. Vítězslav Grepl, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Vietnam. The Ambassador wished the two universities to cooperate successfully and not only in the field of training but also in the field of culture, communication and sports trade.
During the stay in Ho Chi Minh City, the delegation has been visiting some sports facilities in Ho Chi Minh City with the guide of the Faculty of Sports Science of Ton Duc Thang University.
At the end of their visit, Masaryk University professors expressed their sincere appreciation for this collaberation from both sides. Masaryk University guarantees equal opportunity for research and study for all students from around the world and emphasized that this is also one of the primary criteria of MU's mission to build human knowledge. In the coming years, on the basis of the sandwich program, Masaryk University and Ton Duc Thang University will expand other cooperation programs, such as the joint training of bachelor program for the management in sport, the Erasmus exchange students program.
